How to Confirm DFM Is Disabled
DFM status is not shown on the vehicle display. After installation, you can verify operation by:
- Smoother Engine Sound & Feel
Reduced vibration, rough transitions, and hesitation caused by cylinder deactivation.
- More Consistent Driving Performance
During steady cruising above 40 mph, the vehicle should maintain a smoother and more consistent V8 driving feel.
- Check Instant Fuel Economy
Frequent extremely high MPG readings (such as 90+ MPG) should no longer appear during cruising, indicating DFM is no longer active.
