How to Confirm AFM Is Disabled

  For vehicles equipped with an AFM status display, the Driver Information Center (DIC) shows whether the engine is operating in V8 or V4 mode.

• After installing the module: The display should remain in V8 mode during normal driving.
  V4 mode should no longer appear, including during light-throttle cruising or steady-speed driving when AFM would normally activate.

  Note: Some vehicles do not display V8/V4 status on the DIC. In this case, confirm operation by comparing the engine sound and driving feel before and after installation.
